Capacity Slot
The Capacity Slot is the execution-level record generated automatically when a Capacity Plan is submitted. Each slot represents the assignment of a specific operation for a product (or product series) to a defined workstation or production team within the planning horizon.
This doctype ensures that every planned demand is broken down into actionable tasks that can be scheduled, tracked, and executed on the shop floor. It is the link between high-level demand planning and detailed production scheduling.
When It’s Created
- Generated from the Capacity Plan upon submission.
- Uses BOM, Routing, Operations, Workstations, and Teams to break demand into individual operation-level tasks.
- Respects Crystal Ball Settings for scheduling strategy, buffer gaps, and overflow handling.
